WHAT ARE GROWTH FACTORS?
Growth Factors are peptides or medium-length amino acid sequences (EGF consists of 53 amino acids). Biologically speaking, Growth Factors are cellular signal molecules that can stimulate cell growth, proliferation, healing and/or differentiation. To accomplish these and other biological actions, growth factors activate specific cellular receptors. Receptors are proteins that bind to cells and transmit information to induce changes in cellular biochemistry.

Through molecular techniques in our specialized laboratories, it is possible to produce pure recombinant growth factors and peptides. Growth factors are naturally produced in the tissues of the body where they are synthesized, and act on local cells.

  • Growth factors: “Bio-Placenta” TM - Growth factors: a synthetically derived GF blend:
    • Oligopeptide-1: A unique peptide known as Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) that stimulates skin cell growth and strengthens the skin barrier. A member of the elite group of peptides known as growth factors, EGF stimulates cell division, growth, and differentiation in epithelial cells such as skin cells.
    • Oligopeptide-2: a peptide that consists of 70 amino acids and, similar to EGF, it stimulates cell proliferation and wound healing.

APPLICATION:

  • Apply the mask at night, after cleansing, i4 Medical Mist, and your serum. Leave on overnight, and use gentle circular motions to massage the product into your skin.
  • Use 2 - 3 times a week, or as often as your skin needs it.
